i’m new here and i’m wondering if there are any local buddhist meditation classes or groups.. seems like musanga’s a bit far… thank you!
Not that I’m aware of, but I’m sure there are! The word for meditation in Korean is Myeong-sang (명상) and yoga is Yoga (요가), which I know you asked about in your other post. You can find yoga studios in many neighborhoods, but it will likely help if you speak some Korean for registration. I knew enough to register for one in Gung-dong, and while the instructor wasn’t very comfortable in English, she was comfortable in being “hands-on,” which was just fine with me. Musangsa’s a bit far if you don’t have your own transportation. If you CAN get out there once or twice, however, you’ll probably be able to find someone who can give you a lift. I would even try giving them a call. They may be able to help you find someone.
I live in Boeun, which is just over an hour away from Daejeon by bus, and am very interested in checking out Daeheung Baptist Church
but I have found conflicting information regarding the service times. Can you comfirm for me when the English service would be?
Thanks!
I recommend calling them at the contact number listed. If things have changed from what we have here, please let us know!
The DaeHeung Baptist Church Times are as stated… the only change is location of 1:00 Small Group Bible study to a bigger room! Would love to have you join us! Call Karen for more information 016-9205-0729.
