Tourist Visa Limitations

by Kim Hogg on August 10, 2007

According to the Ministry of Justice website http://www.moj.go.kr/ FAQ:

Foreigners staying in Korea are required to engage only in activities permitted by the Korean Immigration Law(e.g., a foreigner with a C-3 visa is not allowed to do business or remuneration activity such as teaching English, part-time jobs, etc).

This would mean to say that if you are on a tourist visa, you can not legally work or earn money in Korea. If you wish to engage in activities other than those permitted by your visa you must apply for and obtain permission to do so in advance.
