Hey I heard a rumor that as of Dec 12th Migrant workers will be allowed to quit there job and seek other employment with out having to obtain a release letter from the employer…
Any truth to this?

Dear sir,
We went to Suwon Immigration yesterday. We are family 5, we extend our stay here, normally only single entry now we have multiple entry. The question is, howcome so expensive all together we had paid KRW 400.000. I was thought multiple entry only KRW 50.000 per person. I still think they might be mistaken or miscalculate. Please be advised and kindly reply by email.

I have no idea why your costs were so high. Perhaps asking a question on the Immigration website will get you an answer.
The only thing I can think of is 30,000 won each for visa renewal + 50,000 won each for your multiple re-entry visas (which are separate). That would be 80,000 won per person X 5 people = 400,000 won.
Sound reasonable?
I can’t open the Daejeon Immigration page for some reason, but I need to contact them as my passport and ARC have not arrived after applying for the ARC before the lunar new year. I’m pretty sure the woman said 2 business days and I definitely specified and paid for delivery. Anyone have the number or can tell me how many days it took to receive their ARC and passport? Thanks!
