The 90th national games opened in Daejeon today, with a flurry of events much like those in the Summer Olympics. An information booklet (Korean only, PDF) is available, with event information starting on page 22, facilities map on 26-27, (or get just the map, PDF), route maps for road races (cycling, marathon, etc) on 28-34. The rest of the book is mostly for participants and their supporters.
Because there are a lot of road-based races, expect changes and delays to bus routes in the affected areas starting tomorrow and lasting until Sunday. You may have already noticed some signs inside buses you usually take indicating a temporary change of routing for the event days. I do not have a complete list of these, nor was I able to find one readily.
Opening Ceremonies seem to be from 5pm to 7:10 tonight at World Cup Stadium, with Closing Ceremonies on the 26th from 5:45pm to 8pm.
If you have some time and enjoy watching sports, it is likely that entrance to any of these events is unlikely to be expensive if there are fees at all. Get out and check out some of the best in amateur sport Korea has to offer!
