It would seem from the word on the street that Ahmed, owner of the former World Food Mart in Gung-dong has signed his name to a new business in Gung-dong across from Shisha House. Apparently this establishment is set to emulate Santa Claus in some of its offerings but is likely to offer a more Central-Asian menu (Pakistan and maybe Mongolia). It’s not clear whether Ahmed is going to manage the business himself or if a Mongolian associate will be holding the reins. Opening has been “next week” for the last several months, but one local business owner says the bar appears to be nearing completion.
Best of luck to the new bar and it will certainly be interesting to what things wind up being like.
