If it’s not in English, is it still Shakespeare?

The NoDdeul Theatre company directed by Won Young-oh is giving it a go in any case. With tickets at either 10 or 20 thousand each, it’s not a bad deal for people who love their Shakespeare and would like to see a very different take on iambic pentameter. Either way, the story of lust for power and betrayal of friends goes beyond language barriers and should make for interesting theater all the same.

The show starts this Friday and runs through next Sunday, so if someone wants to treat me to a showing for my birthday they’re more than welcome to.

Kim,

Would you let us know where the NoDdeul (sp?) Theatre Company performs? Thanks!

That would be helpful, wouldn’t it! They’re performing at the Daejeon Culture and Arts Center (the one with the upside-down half-moon shaped roof in Mannyeong-dong).
