New Contributor from City Hall

by Kim Hogg on July 4, 2007

KoHyunJinSocius extends a warm welcome to Ms. Ko Hyun-jin of the Department of International Affairs and Trade at Daejeon City Hall. Ms. Ko has agreed to write in biweekly (weekly if things aren’t too busy) with updates about what’s going on at City Hall and around town that may be of interest to local citizens not comfortable in Korean.

Ms. Ko is a native of Busan but has lived in Daejeon for the past ten years. She has worked in the past for the Daejeon Subway project and with the management of the Hanbat Library. Her current position includes a mandate to help establish English studying environments in the city, one of which will be through a camp offered at Taejon Christian International School (TCIS) near Hannam University. Additionally, her department offers support for the 10,000 international residents of Daejeon in also working with various international organizations including the World Technopolis Association (WTA). She’s a busy woman to be sure, so we’re very grateful for her to offer time to us.

Thank you, Ms. Ko. We look forward to hearing from you!
